About me

I am a professional counselor licensed in Pennsylvania. My counseling experience has been in a general practice with relationship, mood, parenting, and communication struggles and a practice dedicated to working with adults dealing with sexual addiction, pornography addiction, and relationship issues with roots in sexual abuse. Both of these practices were Christian organizations. I have also counseled teenage boys in a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.

I did not start out with a career in counseling. I have a degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech. I married another engineer, worked a little while, raised children, and when they were in the process of leaving the home, I decided to pursue counseling. I acquired my MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Lancaster Bible College and have been counseling for over 10 years. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. My counseling style uses client centered and cognitive behavioral therapies. (I Thessalonians 5:11 & Ephesians 4:23)

I believe that our past is not as important as the thoughts and decisions we make today. I believe God is continually growing us and I would love to walk beside you in whatever challenge you are facing right now.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alesia Dunlap. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.

We love Alesia and she gives us such an honest experience and very great advice. She listens and responds , we feel very comfortable opening up to her. So happy we decided to do this! Feeling hopeful!

Alesia has been extremely helpful in my mental and spiritual health journey. Her balance between listening and advising is spot on. Her ability to guide me through and re-organize my chaotic thought processes and feelings has enabled me to get to some core issues that we could and have worked on. Our sessions have been life-changing; providing me with tools I can use to continue growing. I can absolutely highly recommend Alesia!

Work with me!
