About Me

There is hope. There is a strong provider that we can cling to in times of great tragedy. God is near to the broken hearted. There are good things coming. But how does all this sadness, grief, loss, trauma, despair lead to something good? What is the purpose of this pain? Will I ever feel like I'm healed or will I always feel broken and used? If you can relate to these questions and feelings of overwhelm and discontent, you are in the right place. When the hardest parts of life hit and your faith feels shaken, it is so encouraging to not walk alone. Christian counseling is designed to help you walk together with a therapist who can help to not only equip you with the necessary tools to deal with the daily grind and pain, but who is also present to encourage you in your faith journey.

I am a License Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri. I specialize in working with individuals who have had to endure (or who are presently enduring) difficult life circumstances and traumas (physical, sexual, emotional, verbal abuse, etc.). I have worked within the private practice setting, along with working in psychiatric hospital settings and collegiate settings. My extensive experience includes working with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, active suicidal and/self-harm ideation, having regular panic attacks, struggling with daily depression and anxiety, having difficulty overcoming addictive patterns within their lives due overwhelming stress and working with clients who have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, ADHD and mood disorders.

When providing therapeutic support, I use an individualized approach that best meets my client’s individualized therapeutic goals. I have a background in studying biblical theology, along with being a trauma specialist who also has extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness. I often incorporate expressive art techniques, music therapy and narrative therapy within my sessions with clients who best connect and process through experiential methods. I come from a strengths-based perspective and actively work with clients to help them feel increased worth, confidence and motivation to achieve goals. I strive to come alongside clients to help them to see their value, worth and to help bring restoration, healing and hope.

I offer phone and video sessions and live chats available as well on a weekly basis that includes early mornings, weeknights and weekends.

Alexandra, So happy to have such an understanding, knowledgeable counselor. Good counselors are few and far between - ask anyone. I feel like I have already gleaned much helpful information. Thank you so much.
