About Me

As an Oregon Board certified Counselor I have worked passionately for over twenty years in the field of Christian ministry, pastoral counsel, workshop facilitation, life coaching and as a behavioral therapist, prior to starting my private practice. Much of my work has focused on women in transition, domestic violence and finding a true sense of spirituality and purpose, with a particularly keen interest for families in crisis. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges. I have also worked extensively with people who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I apply my personal experiences and multicultural background to my professional counseling practices with strong emphasis on a holistic and person-centered approach I tailor my dialog and treatment plan to meet the unique and specific needs of my clients.
It takes a great deal of courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

I enjoyed working with Alicia. I had a situation that I was feeling very conflicted about, and I felt like she walked me through Biblical principles that helped me figure out what to do. She is a great listener. It was a very positive experience for me.

Alicia is a great listener and helps get to the root of the issue. She asks good questions. I would highly recommend her wise counseling expertise to anyone.
