About Me

As a Christ-centered Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that family was intended by God to be our first earthly source of hope and strength. Unfortunately, our broken world has put our families under attack, and there are times when we lose hope that things will improve. I believe that when positive growth or change is made by even one member of the family, each member benefits. As a former teacher, guidance counselor, and youth leader, I have seen what the power of God can do in individuals, couples, and family's lives!

My therapuetic approach varies as to what you need. Some folks benefit from Solution-Focused, brief-type therapy, while others may need a more collaborative, educational approach. I offer EMDR for trauma/PTSD and attachment-based therapy for behavior modification. Many couples benefit from the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) curriculum, and the Prepare-Enrich approach, both in which I am trained. I will be a supportive, empathetic listener and will take time to prayerfully craft my services around your needs, whether that is working through events in the past or planning a healthy future.

Amy was a wonderful introduction to online counseling! She is very personable and warm, which made it easier to jump right into the deep stuff. Amy paid attention to my story and helped me consider things I didn't see before, as well as affirm me where appropriate. I highly recommend Amy!

Amy has been so helpful. It was clear she had read my opening profile and we were able to get right to useful communication exchanges. Her responses were timely and very well thought out. Most importantly, it is clear that she cares.

I was so down on myself and Amy talked and prayed with me and after just a couple of conversations I felt myself turning around. She is an awesome listener and I loved the bible verses and her praying with me to help me feel better about myself. I will strongly recommend her to anyone that needs a helping hand. I truly believe God sent Amy to me. Thank you Jesus :)

I cannot imagine anyone helping me more that Amy has! I have already recommended her to my son and a couple who needs marriage counseling! What a wonderful, fruitful experience! Could not be happier with the experience!
