I am a licensed masters level social worker in Michigan with over 4 years of providing individual and family therapy. In addition, I have been in ministry for the past 4 years working with individuals and families. My personal walk with Christ is to practice spiritual disciplines while in community with other believers. I believe that God is at work within each of us despite where we are at in our journey of faith. My approach to counseling is warm and non-judgmental to create a safe place to explore personal challenges while identifying areas of growth and increase self-awareness. It is a passion of mine to help others recognize and identify the strengths and talents they already possess and utilize those gifts in order to face the challenges ahead of them. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, and Strengths-based Therapy. I look forward to getting to know you and help you identify areas you would like to improve in your life. I have experience helping others with depression, anxiety, parenting issues, grief/loss, trauma, and coping with life changes.
I received my Bachelors in Social Work at Florida State University in 2004 and Masters in Social Work at Valdosta State University in 2008. I became a licensed clinical social worker in Florida in 2010 (#SW10095) and licensed masters social worker in Michigan in 2019 ( #6801104104).

Amy is a wonderful counselor. In my short time on FaithfulCounseling she really help me work through my anxiety. She’s very kind, compassionate and patient. The best part is that she helped me bring me closer to God. She help me break the wall down that I felt came in between my relationship with the Lord as I battled my Postpartum. Amy was always there. I could send a late night text and the next day I’d receive something back. It’s very reassuring to know someone is there and really cares! Thank you Amy!!!
