Amy Krause

About Me

Hi my name is Amy,
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my information. I have worked as a therapist for 9 years in multiple settings. I have worked in clinics, schools, probation/corrections, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I find the most important thing when working with others is to join them where they are at. I have had the pleasure to work with many varieties of individuals, couples, families and groups. My experience and training specialize in trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, attachment disruption, adverse childhood experiences, family and couples communication challenges, blended family conflict, and conduct disorders. I have worked extensively with couples on communication challenges, intimacy issues, infidelity, parenting and blended family issues as well as many other challenges.

My therapeutic style draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) as well as others based on your needs. We don't all fit in the same box so why should our therapy all be the same? I think you are the experts in your stories, needs and wants. I work to help you on those goals by drawing from my background and expertise to help you reach those goals.

Thank you so much for looking at my information and I hope to hear from you soon!

She is always understanding of what I tell her. I never feel crazy for what I am thinking when I am talking to her. She makes me feel like everything is okay and that I can get through this. Gives good analogies and advice!
