I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with 5 years of clinical experience. I have worked with various clients to include: adults, elementary, middle, and high school aged students. I have also worked in several settings/areas of social work such as: private mental health agencies, child protective services, hospital, group homes and public schools. I currently work with Veterans who experience: depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, various medical, and psychosocial concerns as well as military sexual trauma. My areas of focus include: depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, medical/terminal illnesses, parenting concerns, anger management, relational issues, career/financial stressors and abuse/neglect/dependency/ foster care.
I am very compassionate, energetic, and highly motivated to assist my clients with making positive changes to reach their desired goals. I utilize several therapeutic interventions and therapy modalities, as I understand what works for one individual may not work for the next. I am a strong believer that we all are unique and special in our own ways. We all have strengths and weaknesses that set us apart from others. I utilize therapeutic interventions derived from: cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused and self-centered therapy. My goal is to empower my clients to be successful, achieve their goals, and make progress in their specific area of concern.
I am excited and commend you for acknowledging the importance of having support, guidance, and assistance with navigating life. I look forward to developing a therapeutic relationship with you and serving to empower you along this journey. You only get one life to live let's work together and make it the best!

There are some days I don’t think I could make it, especially not in a healthy way, without Amy’s help. She kind, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and knows the right way and time to challenge growth. I highly recommend Amy.
