I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in the state of Michigan. I have over 23 years working in mental health from the public sector. I am also a Christian male who is committed to working with men struggling with pornography addiction, believing I am being called to this very unpopular ministry. Within the next month or so I will have three workbooks available on the subject of porn addiction called “Most Satisfied,” the title taken from John Piper’s famous statement, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” This comprehensive 8 step program mimics the 12-step program but is specialized to men struggling with porn addiction. I rely on the three greatest resources given to us by God; the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and the people of God, in that order. I combine the truths of Scripture with the best research offered in sexual addictions, psychology, and men’s issues. I rely on the research from Patrick Carnes, the pioneer of much of the work done in sexual addiction.
I offer healing through God in the context love and acceptance. You are NOT your sin. God is a God of love and acceptance, and he has paid the price for your sin already. I will partner with you as you take the slow process of learning the depth of your need, strategies that work (relapse prevention), and practicing the skills described in this program. I have been praying for this ministry for years, now I am hoping to connect with you and show you how big your world can be.
