Hi there and welcome! Thank you for taking the time to read more about who I am as a therapist! My name is Audrey Zatopek and I’m both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology.
I have a varied work history as a therapist involving working at a Christian not-for-profit center, two psychiatric hospitals, a residential substance abuse treatment facility, and the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department with DWI offenders on probation. In these settings I have worked with persons struggling with many different issues, and as such I am confident that I can help you with yours!
I was drawn to this profession because I’ve felt a calling on my life to help make the world a better place since childhood. I’ve come to love helping people repair themselves and their lives, and getting to witness their metamorphoses makes it so meaningful.
Relevant to my style, I like to challenge my clients to grow, be better, and learn something new with every encounter that we have. Growth isn’t always the most pleasant to experience, but I can promise any growth I encourage will be for your benefit! I aspire to help every person I work with to become his or her best self, and that starts with making a decision to dive into therapy. If I sound like a good fit for you, let’s get this growth party started!

Audrey is very helpful. It's obvious she understands my issues thoroughly, and she has already offered a number of useful tools. Much work left to do, however, and it's comforting be able to lean on Audrey in the midst of this journey.
