Brandi Strickland

About Me

I was born and raised in the great state of Texas, and have known since I was a child that I wanted to become a counselor and help people with issues they are facing. I have been a Christian for many years and am a worship leader at my church.

I graduated with my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health in 2014 from Midwestern State University. I am an LPC and have been working in the mental health field for 7 years. The majority of my experience includes helping individuals with mental illness, mood disorders, substance abuse, trauma, career development, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

I believe in a Cognitive Behavioral approach to identify errors in thinking and assist clients to work towards a solution toward the problem. My clients direct the movement of our conversations, and I give honest and realistic feedback along the journey. I feel that most people just want to be heard and understood without unsolicited advice and biased opinions. I believe a key part of personal growth is spiritual, so I rely on scripture and prayer throughout the process.

I love watching my clients grow, improve their lives, and gain insight. I can't wait to help you do the same!

Brandi is very easy to conversate with and gets the point. I feel like I'm chatting with a friend. Overall I'm happy and satisfied with her.
