Hello, my name is Brenda Canada, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervior credentials, located in Ohio. I have years of experience in community and office-based counseling. I attended Liberty University and received my Bachelors in Psychology. I continue with Liberty University and received my Masters in Professional Counseling. I believe that God allowed me the opportunity to become a counselor at this time in my life, to help others through faith-based counseling, to gain a better relationship with Him. When we have a relationship with God, everything is possible!
My approach leans toward solution focused therapy, as I believe that unless the stressful issues that we deal with every day are resolved, we cannot focus on our relational issues, because we are going back into the same situations that cause the issues. I encourage my clients to find hope for the future, for without hope, we cannot continue, and that hope is in God alone. I use a combination of supportive, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, faith, and strengths based approaches based on your needs. I believe that counseling is a collaborative experience and I will work to help you identify your personal and faith-based goals, while helping you utilize your strengths to live to your full potential in the Lord.
