Carla Stewart

(MSW, LISW)

About Me

I am a licensed social worker. I earned my degree from The Ohio State University College of Social Work. I have lived in Ohio my entire life but have been fortunate enough to travel the world. I have a strong passion to help those struggling with emotional difficulties. I am active in community organizations and volunteer as a patient advocate at the local and national levels. I am also honored to be a volunteer with giveanhour.org, a national network of volunteers providing free mental health services to military personnel and their families who are being affect by military conflicts.

I believe God is a global thinker and gave each of us free will, character, and a moral compass to make our individual lives as purposeful as possible. I believe in giving our problems to God and believing in the power of prayer. We as human beings tend to worry over things we have zero control over. Control is an illusion. Learning to listen to the never-ending dialog in our heads allows us to reflect and ask for evidence that our negative thinking is accurate.

Carla is a great motivator AND guider toward your own insights and inner strength. I'm so glad we matched and she was able to help me during a tumultuous, lonely and scary time. Now, I am getting back on my feet and know that I have a stronger sense of self because of her. She responds quickly and it's evident that she has lots of experience in her field of work.
