I am honored to provide Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Services with a Christ centered worldview, because it takes Faith to believe your life can be transformed! The basis of my counseling perspective is a spiritual one and is first mentioned in Leviticus 19:18 of the Bible; it tells us to “love thy neighbor as thy self”. This instruction is given seven more times (in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, Romans, Galatians, and James) in the Bible which gives some indication of importance. As a counselor, I am to consider all of my clients as I consider and care for myself. I am to help and not hurt those whom I counsel, as I would not intentionally harm myself. This scripture and premise also implies that as a counselor I must practice good self care so that I can effectively care for those that seek my services. I will assist my clients by utilizing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Seeking Safety techniques to provide Person Centered services. It is my desire to improve an individual’s Biological, Psychological, Social and Spiritual functioning by partnering with them as they navigate life’s challenges.

CJ is a warm and geniune person. She has the kindest heart and gives the most sound and wise advice. She opened my eyes to new perspectives on things in my life. She helped through things I was struggling with from my past. I will always remember her encouragement and kind words.
I am very fortunate to be able to work with Cessel even if it was for a short while. Very easy to talk to and gave me some useful literature that helps in managing my anxiety. Really appreciate a very genuine person like her.
Just awesome!...very attentive and understanding, but most of all genuine. I definitely had a great experience working with her.

I have the feeling like I have a good friend, who I can tell all my problems and feeling to and felt as though I am in good hands with him. And I had the feeling that my prayers get heard.
She is wonderful, compassionate and strong and can help you in your season of need. She helped me identify the real underlying issues with my habits and encouraged me forward with godly wisdom.
My counselor was so helpful in getting me past a really rough point in my life. She gave me some great tips, steps and biblical guidance to see me through.
I’ve had nothing but great great experience with Cessel. She has her awesome way of making a person feel comfortable with talking to her. She also has such a warm and positive vibe and was very encouraging and welcoming in every session we have had. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Five stars!
CJ did an amazing job listening and pointing me to the right scripture to help God pull me though the loss of a child.
Cessel is such a big encouragement to me. Not only that but she knows when to say the tough stuff in a way that isn’t offensive or too tough to handle. I really appreciate that I hear back from her within a few hours of sending a message and it’s nice to know that she cares and shares my faith. It’s been easy to open up to her.
