About Me

I am a marriage and family therapist along with a chemical dependency counselor licensed in Texas with over 15 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and addictions counselor. As a therapist, I have worked with clients through a Christian counseling agency, in Ohio. I have a degree in Biblical studies, and have served as a missionary to the Ukraine. Finally, I have served people as a ministry leader of Celebrate Recovery, and a local support program called Burden Bearers (based on Galatians 6:2). My faith is an important part of my view of people. That each person is created of God and deserves to seek their best self.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction issues, issues with the criminal justice system, and parenting problems. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is interactive, with a focus on listening to your needs and skills. I believe that each person has the gifts needed to take on any challenge. My focus will be to help you unlock those gifts. I also believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, family systems, and dialectical behavioral techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
