About me
Hello, my name is Charles Goodson. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of South Carolina with over 19 years of counseling experience. Throughout my career I have worked with adolescents, families, at risk youth, and individuals struggling with mental illness. I have helped a diverse array of clients dealing with concerns such as: stress and anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, family conflict, grief and loss, and anger management. I am also a Christian Counselor with a passion for helping couples and families, and I am well versed in scripture.
I believe that everyone is endowed with innate strengths to help us through our life struggles. As a counselor it is my job to come along side of each client, and help them to discover their own path to utilizing those strengths . I am eager to listen to you, and assist you in finding a plan that is structured to fit your own personal needs. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, family systems, narrative, and solution focused therapies, and is designed to create an alliance of mutual trust wherein you and I can strive together to successfully navigate the obstacles that you face .
I know it takes courage to make changes in your life, and it is even harder to ask for help. When you are willing to take that step, I am here to help you in your journey.

This will be my third session with Mr. Goodson. Thus far
Mr. Goodson has been absolutely great at listening, giving biblical direction with scripture and always responds quickly.
Mr. Goodson, may not be aware of this but he has been a blessing for me. I have struggled with unforgiveness and shame for a long time... between my therapist and the holy spirit, I'm moving forward. Leaving all those things which are behind me and reach forward to what God has for me. I am forgiven. Changing mindsets with scripture.
Mr. Gordon is just well versed and very supporting. Speak biblical truth to you and his counseling are scriptures base, I am really thankful for his time.
