Asking for help can be the most difficult decision you can make for yourself. It’s never easy as naturally we like to handle things on our own. Part of life can sometimes be that moment when you take a look at your life and wonder how you got to a certain point. You begin to question whether you were forgotten or rejected by God. Now is the time for you to start a new journey to a happier, emotionally and spiritually healthier you. Strength comes in knowing when it’s time to ask for help and understanding that it is okay to need help sometimes. Oftentimes when we pray and ask God for help his answer may not always fit the vision that we created in our own heads.
Just as people are not all the same I do not believe in having a “cookie cutter” approach to counseling. I tailor our time together to meet your individual needs and the goals that you would like to meet in a non-judgmental environment. I am passionate about helping you meet your goals and finding the peace you are seeking. My approach is collaborative and compassionate focusing on individual strengths and creating a safe environment. I believe in the importance of health being of the mind, body and spirit. By incorporating faith into counseling God gives us the strength and guidance needed in the moments when you may feel hopeless and lost.
I have worked with individuals in some of the following areas including but not limited to: Grief and loss, sexual abuse (victim), life transitions, trauma, stress, Victims of Crime, and HIV/AIDS. I understand no perfect person exists and God is the ultimate healer, however in our time together seeds can be planted in which God will create fruit.
I look forward to working with you!!
