Hi there! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the state of Georgia and Connecticut. Ever since I was a little girl I can remember always wanting to help others. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a loving home with two caring and supportive parents that always encouraged me no matter what. I have always been so thankful for this, and have a passion for giving others the same support and encouragement that I was able to have throughout my life. I got into this field because I wanted to give back!
I am a true "PK" or "Preacher's Kid" and grew up attending church. I am a Christian and my faith and belief in God is what drives my passion to help others. I truly believe that this is why God put me on this earth. I am a strong believer that many mental health issues start within our minds. I believe that having a strong relationship with God can help heal mental health symptoms like depression and anxiety, and fight the negativity that may take place in our minds. I am able to implement studies and teachings from the Bible into the skills that I have learned as a Marriage and Family Therapist. If you are ready to live the life that God has destined you to live, I am here to help! Let's work through this process together!
While pursuing my Bachelors degree in Psychology, my love for Marriage and Family therapy was formed after learning more about individuals, couples, and family systems. I went on to pursue a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and through my trainings there, I found that this field not only focused on helping individuals, but also focused a lot on an individuals background, the many systems that they are apart of, and the way that these systems can help shape them into the person they are today. I strongly believe that effective therapy includes understanding the world that the individuals you work with are apart of!
My earliest experiences in the field consist of working in group home environments with troubled youth and adolescents ages 14-22 presenting with diagnoses like depression, anxiety, A.D.H.D., and also showed some early signs of certain personality disorders like bipolar and borderline, PTSD. I have also worked with youth that have experienced past sexual abuse and physical abuse/neglect by their caregivers. I additionally have 3 years of in home therapy experience working with both youth and families in crisis. I have had opportunity to work with adults ages 18+ in an outpatient setting, as well as in the communities, and in their homes. The adult population that I served presented with issues like anxiety, depression, substance abuse, homelessness, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
My counseling style can be described as warm, interactive, and innovative! My favorite part about the work that I do is being able to watch the individuals that I serve make positive changes right before my eyes! I am a huge encourager, and motivator, and am so passionate about supporting individuals through life stage transitions. I am friendly, open, and provide a non-judgmental space. I believe my strongest qualities are patience, empathy, and understanding. I also believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines techniques from models like Strategic, Structural, and Solution Focused therapy, however I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier lifestyle and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Chelsea has been an answer to many prayers. She is knowledgeable, sincere, encouraging, but also challenges me to do the work! Thank you for your wisdom, expertise, knowledge and encouragement!
I appreciate that Chelsea constantly checking in with me, even if I'm MIA or unresponsive. It shows me that she genuinely cares about helping me.
Chelsea is wonderful! She is very attentive, wise and understanding. She also does. It shy away from holding me accountable, which is huge. I would recommend her to anyone!
Chelsea is great! She takes the time to listen to your issues and asks the necessary questions to get to the root of the problem. She validates your experience while pushing you to think from a Jew perspective.
I said a lot but she was able to cut to the core of my issue, address it and offer help. That's why I signed up for therapy on this platform. I'm excited to see what changes come from my time in therapy with Ms. Holmes.
Chelsea is an amazing counselor! I would recommend her to many of my friends
Very kind and understanding counselor, who can also empathize and challenge!
Chelsea is compassionate, encouraging, and most of all, she has been there for me when I felt like I could not go to anyone. She is supportive and does not judge you. I would recommend her to anyone!
