Cletus Deller

About me

My name is Cletus (Clete) Deller and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (25 years experience) who started out my professional career as a teacher. As far as approach, I use both Cognitive BehavioralTherapy, (CBT) and Action and Commitment Therapy, (ACT).

I have two Graduate Degrees (an MS in Psychology and Counseling, and an MBA), Post Graduate Certification in Forensic Psychology, certification as a Sexual Therapist, with over 40 additional graduate hours, focused primarily on trauma. I am trained and certified in the 4 evidenced-based scientific treatments (including EMDR) for Trauma, recommended by the American Psychology Association.

I am a not a Christian counselor, but a Counselor who is a Christian. What that means is that I can use both scientifically validated approaches to solving mental health issues and Christian counseling techniques. The goal is always to craft the right plan for the person that is seeking help.

I can guarantee, that if you decide to work with me, it will be a different experience than ninety percent of the the therapists on Betterhelp. You will have positive and concrete results from our work together, within a session or two not, months. The therapy is unique, but it works, given a chance. Be prepared to work hard, but in the end, you will get your life back.
