About me

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama for the past 15 years. I am originally from Western New York- but have been in Alabama for over 30 years. The military brought me here, and I was a military spouse for over 15 years. I am a graduate of Troy University, Alabama. I worked as a therapist in a community mental health center for 17 years and then moved to private practice in 2019. In these positions, I have been able to work with people from all walks of life, with many varied issues- from depression to bipolar and anxiety, to relationship issues (including deployments and re-unifications), parenting, grief, loss, and aging issues. I have worked with many other agencies to bring quality mental health care to the people in our communities.

My approach is cognitive-behavioral as well as person-centered and solution-focused. I believe in teaching and giving people the tools to find solutions to current issues and use them in the future. My goal is to help you make the best decisions and feel good about these decisions. I believe in constantly learning and improving my skills to pass on the best and most current information and solutions to my clients.

I am an alumnus of the National Health Service Corps- a program that encourages qualified professionals to work in health shortage areas to serve the underserved population. Everyone deserves excellent services, regardless of situations, circumstances, characteristics, or past decisions.

I am very person-centered and look forward to helping you find your strengths, build upon them, and address whatever issue that has brought you to this site. Everyone has a story and knowledge to offer to others. Together, we will look at how to use your story's strengths and add other coping skills, problem identification, and problem-solving skills to your knowledge base. Everyone has one life; we deserve the best, most fulfilling life possible. And sometimes, everyone needs some help.

Let me know if you are ready to learn new ways of dealing with problems that are reducing your life satisfaction. I am eager and excited to partner with you and help you move in whatever direction you want your life to go.

Coralea Dalrymple is a great counselor. She helps me cope with my anxiety. My anxiety is much much less controlling because of her expertise. She checks in on me and makes sure that everything is going well. I have recommended this counseling to several others because of my experience with her counseling me.

I think that Mrs. Dalrymple is a wonderful therapist. She listens without judgement and doesn’t get offended if you don’t respond or talk for a while. She’s patient, which is exactly what I need. We haven’t talked for a long time but I can’t imagine a better person

Coralea Dalrymple is very attentive and caring. She offers great tips and advice. She very often checks in on her client when she hasn't heard from you in awhile. I highly recommend her.

Coralea has helped me immensely. She was my counselor for 4 months and she was always patient, understanding, and gave me plenty of ways to tackle difficult things I hadn't considered before. It was very refreshing to have someone to bounce things off of who could give me a fresh perspective. Not only was she a great listener, but she was responsive to messages, we spoke at least once a week, and as a result I've been able to handle my issues much more effectively. I highly recommend Coralea.

Coralea has been an extremely supportive and professional counselor. I couldn't be more pleased with the progress we've made in such a short period of time. Her guidance is always thorough, affirming, and well thought out. She knows and loves the Lord, and that shines through her words!
