Congratulations on taking the first step to facilitating change.
My name is Darlene. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor ( CRC). I hold an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and an M.A. in Human Services Counseling with a specialization in addictions and recovery. I have enjoyed a professional career working with diverse populations in a number of different settings. My experience includes but is not limited to Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Domestic Violence, Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD), Schizophrenia, Self Harm, and Substance Abuse. I have worked with children, teens, young adults, adults, geriatrics, and military veterans.
My counseling style is compassionate. I do not believe in attaching stigma to mental health. I strongly believe one should care for mental health as they would any other health condition. In a warm, and caring environment I help facilitate the the areas you care to address and changes you are ready to make. My approaches are client centered, cognitive behavioral, solution focused and trauma informed.
If you are looking for a compassionate therapist with a Christian viewpoint I would love to work with you. Prayer Works !!!
