About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and Texas with over 15 years of counseling experience working with clients ages 9 to 65 and older. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger, addiction, trauma, grief/loss, relationship/family, self-esteem, and adjustment challenges. I have also worked with clients from various cultures, states, backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses. I have extensive experience in all levels of care in various settings, such as crisis stabilization/inpatient hospital, outpatient/intensive outpatient clinic, women and children residential, home-based, school, church, and correctional/probation settings. I also proudly served our courageous military veterans and their families for several years.

My therapy style is caring, warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I believe in treating you with the same utmost respect and compassion as I would display to any of my own personal loved ones. I believe in meeting you where you are, and when you are ready, helping you take the courageous steps to regain control of your life. I believe laughter is good medicine to the soul, so when appropriate, I love to share this gift of joy with you in our sessions.

My therapeutic approach consists of a solid foundation in cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, and rational-emotive therapy, tailoring our sessions and your treatment to meet your unique and specific needs. I also thoroughly enjoy providing Christian counseling to those that request this therapeutic approach, utilizing the Unconditional Love of Christ as the primary foundation in our sessions.

Congratulations on taking this first step toward positive change. It takes courage to ask for help. We all need support at one time or another. I am overly excited to join this part of your journey toward a more fulfilling and happier life. You deserve it!

I look forward to working with you, and I cannot wait to get started! See you soon!
