I have believed in God since I was a child and was raised in the United Methodist Church. As a teenager, my faith deepened and I became involved in Lay Witness Missions, a teen ministry associated with the UMC. As a newly married couple, my husband and I became church planters for the Evangelistic Missionary Fellowship. After several years of planting churches and assisting pastors in other churches, we went back to the UMC. At that point I became a Certified Lay Minister, filling the pulpit as needed and doing other ministry work. I then received certification as a spiritual director from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. I currently lead adult classes at my church and offer spiritual direction and workshops in the community and online. I also offer spiritual coaching online.
