Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Texas and Florida. I have over 25 years of experience with diverse populations. I have specialized in treating geriatrics, bipolar disease, schizotypal, substance abuse, children, and couples. I also have treated people with abuse and trauma issues. My family has a history of mental health problems that lend to my knowledge of issues that occur in mental illnesses. I know firsthand that in getting it can be difficult to take the first step in getting help! Look at this as a partnership for enriching your life. I also come from a strong Christian background and believe that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is where our true hope comes from. My faith has been my foundation for over 25 years.
I have an open style of communicating and believe that building trust is important in any relationship, including the couple that is working with me. I view all people as deserving respect and treat them as I would want to be treated. I believe our relationship is a partnership with us working as a team to provide success! I am eclectic in my approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Person-Centered, Self Psychology, Psychodynamic, Family , and Humanistic Therapy. In couples counseling I look to develop communication, trust, and an understanding of each person's goals as well as their goals as a couple.
I look forward to us creating a team for better health! We can have video chats to get to know each other and see if we think we are a fit. The purpose is to help you to be successful in accomplishing the goals we have identified. With work and persistence you will be on the road to a more rewarding and loving life.

Deborah is the person I didn’t know I needed in my life. I love how she allows me to come to my own conclusions instead of labeling me right away. There’s nothing wrong with labels, but she communicates it in a nice way. She asks thought provoking questions that allow you to realize your good/bad behaviors/traits. I appreciate that she uses all of our time wisely together and makes every session count. She makes you feel comfortable to open up to her and creates a safe space for you to share. I am so grateful to have met her.
