I have loved working with DeJonae! Clearly I was matched well. She is professional but also personal. Very kind and you always sense her genuine commitment to want to help you. She answered all my doubts and worries on my concerns about therapy and how her role is valuable according to the word of God. I was amaze to learn how counselors have always played an important role through the scriptures. From kings getting counseling apart from having their companions to how in the book of Proverbs it emphasize the importance of getting counseling and being careful from who to get wise counsel. It makes a big difference to get counseling from someone who seems good at it versus an expert at it who has studied and understand human behavior making the advice shared more objective rather than subjective. I do not feel like I am speaking with a stranger despite its of course more of a one sided relationship. I am glad we were able to set realistic expectations and standards for the relationship which had made me feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable. She is an integral devoted Christian who's advice aligns with the scriptures of God. A great listener and askes good questions. I am truly grateful for her boldness in that she tells me what I need to hear and not what I want to hear but done so with a compassionate heart. I love how we pray at the beginning and ending of our sessions since that was my request in our first session. All around is an amazing experince to work with her! I have had so much healing thus far. I feel more capable in managing my life and have more realistic expectations of my relationships. Thus, resulting in healthier relationships and overall more enjoyable life. I feel way more confident about my life progress over perfection.
