Diana Foltz

About Me

I am an LCSW that started in this field in 2006 after receiving my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Carolina. I have worked with adolescents/children, adults, disabled adults, retirees, military veterans, and seniors. I have worked in both mental health and with hospice/medical settings. I believe treating others the same way that you would want to be treated: With dignity and mutual respect. I use a person-centered approach as each individual is different and needs a unique treatment approach. I combine solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, rational-emotive therapy, and some dialectical-behavioral therapy to my treatment approach. I have also worked with survivors of trauma and have been trained in EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. I also like to use a strengths-based approach when using solution-focused therapy as each individual has sources of strength that can help them to find the right solution to their dilemmas and struggles. I prefer to use this platform for those that seek out a Christian Faith-Based Counselor to help them as I believe that the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being all are tied together.
