Living life has been full of challenges, pain, suffering and many good times. I have worked with people from many countries and many cultures. My approach is a mix of what therapy will be most effective for the client. No one therapy approach works for everyone. Sixty years of living has taught me a lot. A Bachelor's degree in Theology then a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with subsequent licensure, gives me the knowledge and credentials to effectively help people. I care is the biggest gift I bring to each client that I work with. The goal of my practice is to help the person overcome the issues they bring to therapy. Then live successfully without that issue dominating their life.

Doug is a calm, knowledgeable and caring therapist. He's got a variety of experiences to draw from, and a gift for distilling from them the perfect story, recommendation, or particular technique to guide the issue at hand. Highly recommend.

Douglas Fowler has been a great therapist for me. I have been meeting with him for almost a year and a half now. He is quick to recognize what the issues are, even if I can’t always verbalize them clearly. He is patient in helping me change, but also reminds me of things still needing to be addressed when I’m slow to make decisions. He has challenged me directly in a lot of ways by setting goals for me. He is supportive, a good listener and eager to help me change for the better. Overall I’m very satisfied with my experience so far.

Douglas is NOT your typical therapist. He practices what he preaches: he has his own therapist. Most importantly, he values and respects his patient's time and concerns and goes above and beyond to help them. He also doesn't need your whole story. He works from the point of concern and asks professional and intuitive questions to help you on the spot. Highly recommend!

It’s hard to write a single good thing about a person who has “multiple” great things about themselves. Doug has truly helped me unravel my mental trauma that was hidden in the dark careens of one’s mind. He skillfully guided out me out of my own way as any great therapist would do for someone in their care. Words can’t express my appreciation & joy that I have rekindle in myself. As a highly functioning medical professional, I highly recommend Doug for anyone needed guidance & help in breaking away from your own unresolved mental trauma and to start a new path towards healing.

I was very nervous going into therapy, as it is my first time and wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I am getting out of each session and how much I enjoy it. Douglas is very proactive and realizes exactly what needs to be done in order to help me change for the better. He is aware of my struggles and can always relate, which I love. He urges me to take control of my life, my emotions, and my reactions, which is exactly what I need.
I would 10000% recommend Douglas if you are ready to make changes in your life, gain motivation, and have positive days! :)

Written on Aug 03, 2022 after therapy with Douglas for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, intimacy-related issues, and self esteem
My behaviour became frequently capricious. Owing to the mountain of problems and priorities that arose throughout my life, I realized I could not sort through my own thoughts as my first breakdown occured. Each issue had their roots firmly intertwined and I am appreciative of the gardening both Douglas and I have consistently done. My process has not been pouring my heart out to an idle listener - it's been a virtual, fully engaged helping hand, aimed at highlighting my needs in my unique environment which thrusts me to self-reflection such that I can detangle my issues. From there, we are focused on solutions through our paired discernible eyes. I'm far from complete but simultaneously far from where I began thanks to Douglas.
