About me

Living life has been full of challenges, pain, suffering and many good times. I have worked with people from many countries and many cultures. My approach is a mix of what therapy will be most effective for the client. No one therapy approach works for everyone. Sixty years of living has taught me a lot. A Bachelor's degree in Theology then a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with subsequent licensure, gives me the knowledge and credentials to effectively help people. I care is the biggest gift I bring to each client that I work with. The goal of my practice is to help the person overcome the issues they bring to therapy. Then live successfully without that issue dominating their life.

Douglas is wise and attentive. An excellent therapist for a young man to have in his life

Doug is a calm, knowledgeable and caring therapist. He's got a variety of experiences to draw from, and a gift for distilling from them the perfect story, recommendation, or particular technique to guide the issue at hand. Highly recommend.

Douglas Fowler has been a great therapist for me. I have been meeting with him for almost a year and a half now. He is quick to recognize what the issues are, even if I can’t always verbalize them clearly. He is patient in helping me change, but also reminds me of things still needing to be addressed when I’m slow to make decisions. He has challenged me directly in a lot of ways by setting goals for me. He is supportive, a good listener and eager to help me change for the better. Overall I’m very satisfied with my experience so far.

I have had two sessions with Douglas and I have found him to be a good listener and gives good feedback. He is easy to talk to and takes his time to explain and acknowledge my feelings and ideas. I look forward to continue our sessions together.
