About Me

I believe that each client deserves to be met where they are at in their lives, thus each client warrants individualized and compassionate treatment. With my empathic support, I aim to provide clients with a safe space to discuss and process personal issues. When warranted, I draw largely from my Christian faith and help clients recognize and strengthen their faith in God's will. I have been working as a licensed mental health counselor in private practice on Long Island, NY for 2 years. I also was a staff therapist in an intensive outpatient program for the treatment of eating disorders providing individual and group counseling. I have extensive experience working with the eating disorder population, as well as those suffering with depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues and life transitions. I have had great success counseling clients from a Christian perspective and believe in the power of prayer. I am proud to say that all of my schooling, through college, has been in Christian (Catholic) institutions.

I received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Fordham University and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. I am also certified in the Fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in the treatment of depression and anxiety from Adelphi University School of Social Work.

My goal is to establish a strong therapeutic relationship with each client as the foundation for change in my therapeutic practice. I counsel clients with an eclectic approach out of respect to each client's individuality, drawing largely from cognitive-behavioral, behavioral, rational-emotive behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies.

I look forward to connecting with you and discovering how we can facilitate positive change in your life in a safe, supportive manner.

Gina has been a wonderful counselor. She is knowledgeable and I feel like she is really invested in me and my life. I appreciate her ability to listen well and speak truth in ways that I never thought of before. Gina has helped me maneuver through intense anxiety and panic attacks, as well as dig deeper into the reasons why those things were surfacing in my life to begin with. I am so thankful for her!

Gina has been an awesome counselor. She listens, and gives solutions or help me find my own solution. I believe she should be everyone's therapist.
