Rev. Gregory Swift

(MA, MDiv, ThD)

About Me

My name is Gregory. I am a licensed Christian Therapist and Pastor. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families who struggle with depression, anxiety, mental health disorders, spiritual and faith issues, grief and loss, trauma, anger, marital issues, divorce, and substance abuse/dependence.
By utilizing Christian based therapy and a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy we will work together to get to the root of your struggles, your trials, and/or your pain from the past, to bring to light the negative patterns from the past that have an impact on the present so you can more hope, and live that life of fulfillment and purpose.
Regarding couples counseling, I believe that most marriages can be restored, renewed, and revitalized, even when spouses are in conflict, unhappy, or demoralized. My first stance is to explore how a couple can repair their marriage and find the path for a healthier relationship. I believe that healthy and long-term commitment is good for individuals, families, children, and communities.
Other theoretical frameworks I have been trained in and also have taught are the Evidence Based Practices of Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Therapy is hard work yet quite rewarding and people have gained new insights and new perceptions of the power of the Word of God to transform their lives through Christian therapy. If you are looking for guidance and support through brokenness, sadness, or a challenging situation in your life, I look forward to working with you to assist you and help you overcome so you can achieve your life goals. Let us walk down the path of transformation together and explore new possibilities for your life where you can live the life worthy of your calling.
I received my first master’s degree In Counseling Psychology at National University, and I received my second master’s degree in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
My interests outside of work include spending time with my family, gardening, golf, and reading.

Very Helpful with constructive information and a professional demeanor. I appreciate his words of encouragement and faith filled wisdom and prayers.
He makes looking in the mirror doable and transformation possible if your willing and able to learn and grow.
