About Me

Welcome! Seeking therapy is not always easy and it may come with reluctance for a variety of reasons. However, we are born for connection and movement. My approach to therapy is collaboration on treatment rooted in relationship. Through a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach you will have the space to talk openly, working toward on your goals and objectives; alleviating the thought and behavioral patterns keeping you from a living the life you deserve.

Do you ever feel like, if only I could…..

I am here to embark on a journey of healing and growth, standing by your side every step of the way. I have a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (2014) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California. I am prior military and have served as a military spouse upon my separation from the Air Force for the last 20 years. My training includes extensive training in the Neurosequential Model (NMT) the work of Dr. Bruce Perry. NMT helps us understand the effects of trauma and stress beginning in utero. My training also includes extensive training in Collaborative Problem Solving or CPS. CPS is an evidenced based approach for helping children with challenging behaviors, which interfere with many different areas of life. Studies show that exercise and movement have healing power. I believe not only are we made for connection, we are also made for movement. It is my goal to assist you with finding what works for you; allowing your work to become an experience. I have experience with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, military stressors, and group/individual therapy, Juvenile Probation and school based therapy, as well as short term intervention and prevention. It would be an honor to be here to assist you.
