I am a professional counselor licensed in the state of Missouri, with over 3 years of experience, and over a decade of experience working with addiction and mental health. I have worked with a range of clients, from children to elderly, who have come to me for a variety of issues, including anxiety and stress, depression, relationship issues, addiction, and lack of motivation. Many of those clients have also expressed a loss of faith, are looking to further explore their own developing faith, or want to address their issues in the context of their faith practice.
There are times in our lives when we need a new vision and someone to help us create strategies to overcome old challenges and take life to the next level. Seeking this change can be a daunting task, but I am here to help support you in your success. My counseling style is rather eclectic, based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with strong influences from Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused techniques, and existential psychotherapy. I am acquainted with a number of Christian denominations, and want to learn about your relationship with God and how you worship.
I look forward to working with you!

Appreciate Ian's patience and care.
This is the first time in counseling that I feel heard, validated, able to fully share. I may share too much with him but he takes it and validates and directs me.
Ian is a great listener! He gets right to the point, which I very much appreciate. I feel as though our online video sessions cover so much in such a short time. I always get something out of every session and every message, and the “homework” he provides helps me to stay on track and implement the sessions in to my life. Highly recommend Ian as a counselor.
He is not afraid to ask tough questions and give good suggestions
