Jamie Stodola

About Me

Hello, I'm Jamie Stodola, I am a California State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I grew up in the mid-west (Wisconsin) and after graduating, attended Andrews University in Michigan where I earned a degree in Spanish Studies. I have diverse experiences with cultures as I have lived aboard in Argentina, Chile, South Korea, as well as throughout the USA, from the east coast to the west coast. I completed my Master of Arts degree at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and fulfilled my post graduate clinical training in California.

I have a passion for assisting clients find balance. I work from a Humanistic Growth model of therapy which strives to help fulfill a clients potential and maximize their wellbeing rather than concentrating on dysfunction. I have seen great success working with motivated individuals, couples and families who are willing to invest in their personal growth and self betterment. I have experience working with individuals ranging from age 5 to adult.

Experiencing multiple cultures in all the places I have lived along with my clinical training has provided me with deep insight and a practical view of the problems people face in their personal and professional lives. As a result, I can help address a variety of issues in your life. I have worked with individuals, families, relationship issues, pre-marital/marital problems, communication, conflict resolution, parenting problems, domestic violence, career challenges, anxiety, and depression.

I am a Christian. Faith has been an important factor all my life. I grew up in a Christian home that nurtured the opportunity to make a decision for the Lord on my own. I'm so glad I did. The understanding of God (and how good and evil are real) is a great comfort as it is so beautifully available to us in God's word. If you are seeking a Christian counselor I will meet you where you are spiritually and will support you in your journey to find peace, comfort, joy and even ability to search out some of your tough questions if desired. Prayer will be a part of our discussion and can be a part of our sessions if desired or if is helpful for you. You will have the opportunity to express yourself in a comfortable, safe, and non-judgmental environment.

I really do appreciate how invested Jamie became in me and my husband's issues. She's a very caring and insightful person. I really do appreciate her patience which I know she had to exercise a great deal with my husband.
