Janice Burton


About Me

I am a Licensed Master of Social Work in the State of Michigan with 15 years of experience as a therapist and life coach. I have experience working with variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and career issues. My specialty has been in the area of anxiety including performance based anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. I am an EMDR trained therapist. This has allowed me to help clients overcome past physical, emotional and sexual abuse.

My counseling style is collaborative. My Christian faith guides my love for people and the desire to see clients improve their lives. I believe their is wisdom in the Bible that helps all of us overcome challenges in our lives. Together we create a vision of the changes and goals for their lives. I am a practical results oriented therapist that works hard for my client's success.

Jan is an excellent therapist. She is warm, compassionate, practical and wise. She is also very non-judgmental, which makes it easy to open up and build trust with her. I always feel better after a session and have things to ponder and think about throughout the week, which helps me grow as a person.
