Hello! My name is Jeff Moffitt and I am a licensed clinical therapist as well as a Christian faith-based provider of counseling services. First, my faith has always been an integral part of my life. I made a public profession of my faith when I was just 12 years old. As early as I can remember, I've always had a deep sense of a spiritual calling. As a child I had no earthly idea what this "calling" looked like, but then again, it didn't really matter. The beauty of faith is we don't have to see it to experience it.
Throughout the years, my faith has continued to take on new meaning and purpose in my life. I feel very fortunate and grateful for the opportunities God has given me, and allows me to work in a profession that I so dearly love. My profession, in short, is all about helping people and being a service to others (without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, age, social status, economic background, educational foundations, geographical location, etc.).
With that being said, I do not push my personal believes on anyone. During my work, I remain impartial and will provide clinical therapy that is evidence based and has been proven to effectively promote change and healing.
I have over 20 years experience working with both individuals and couples. I have a masters degree, and I have completed three specialty internships: marriage, family therapy and mental health counseling, substance use and addictive disorders, and healthcare administration as well as a residency. I have worked with various age populations with a broad range of issues, including but not limited to, the following: depression, anxiety, substance use and addiction, child and adult ADD and/or ADHD, obsessive disorders, relational issues, premarital assessments and discussions, life and career change, spiritual and faith-based issues, generational gaps, grief and loss, death and dying.
My entire life (whether it's my background, education, internships, or my personal and professional experiences) has always been supportive by my faith and calling. In essence, this is what motivates me to get up every day looking for ways to be of service. I'm passionate, driven and confident in my skills and abilities to help others live a happier and more fulfilled life. God has given me a sympathetic imagination and intuitive insight where I not only identify with an individual, but also provide insight for change and growth.
My counseling style is warm, supportive and engaging. I strongly believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in a generalized approach to therapy and counseling. I adjust in a way that supports your individual and unique needs without jeopardizing my own values. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, meditation, relaxation, experiential and process therapies, spiritual and devotional tactics, stress management, impulse control and a few others that seem to have slipped my mind. I customize a dialog and treatment plan to meet specific needs that are identified.
It takes courage to seek and reach out in times of need. I have discovered, however, it seems to be easier if a person is seeking a faith based therapist. The spiritual connection is automatic, and we are all inclusive which gives us many possibilities. I hope and pray that you sense my genuine and authentic nature (I really don't use these words lightly either). If you are considering this counseling business and you ended up here, reviewing my information, I believe you are in the right place. I am confident that I can help you through whatever problem(s) and/or situation(s) you find yourself.
I look forward in hearing from you!

Jeff is an awesome person who understands the need for counseling. He is very open and allows you to fully speak your problems in a judge-free zone!
We have been really blessed to have had Jeff. His honesty, empathy and understanding of our painful predicament, and his fair assessment of the situation from both sides, have contributed to our fruitful sessions, and eventual healing. His sincerity and determination to help us is greatly appreciated.
