Jennifer Darling

About Me

I have a been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 15 years. I obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2002. I started out by working in the Emergency Room of a Psychiatric Hospital. I have since worked in a variety of mental health settings with all ages. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and operate from the Strengths Perspective. I am licensed in Kansas and Missouri and reside in the Kansas City area. I have provided counseling for a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder. I also help people who are going through a difficult time whether that be due to life changes, relationship or family issues, and grief and loss.

My faith has always been important to me but I know it can be tested. Whether you're just looking for counseling from a faith based perspective or if you're questioning your faith I can help.

I know reaching out for help can be intimidating. I operate from a non-judgemental stance and am here to listen and validate. My goal is to provide you with skills so that you can live a happier and more fulfilled life.

The beginning of my journey with Jennifer was a bit nerve racking for me but she has a great awareness of her patients and has an amazing heart for people. She’s also been extremely helpful intellectually, not only helping me to see the big picture but the details that make the little moments. She allowed me space to process challenges and even work through them at my own pass fast or slow. 10/10 helpful, caring, and qualified to help you too!
