I have been a counselor for 5+ years. I have worked in environments where as an LPC talking about God is somewhat frowned upon unless the client brings it up. I tend to follow more of the typical clinical counselor mode of treatment where discussions of God are not discussed unless the client asks for it. HOWEVER, when working in a space like Faithful Counseling the opportunity to talk about God and your relationship with God allows the discussion to include faith, prayer, Bible passages, etc. I still tend to allow where you are in your faith walk to be the guiding force (along with God's direction) in our relationship, but the likelihood that I discuss your faith and what the Bible says is greater.
My faith walk with God has been life long. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of things that happen in churches, whether that has been through personal experiences or through conversations with friends or clients. I know that there are many issues that I have struggled with in life that relate to what the Bible tells me and what society says. I have come to terms with the fact that God loves us all and it is the person that matters. We all do things in life that aren't pleasing to God and I have had to come to terms with the fact that God is the ultimate judge. I am here for anyone to talk about what things have impacted their lives -- the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I believe that through Christian counseling we can dig into how God fits into healing. I am a Christian first, wife and mom second, and counselor third. Again my style of counseling tends to lean more toward the clinical side but when I see the opportunity (and in Faithful Counseling there are many) then God is at the center of the counseling process.

She is great. Thoughtful, willing to use Biblical examples and direction. Highly recommended!
Jennifer has helped me greatly. She is knowledgeable in her field and is very supportive when I need her. Would definitely recommend her to others.
Jennifer is very compassionate and understanding. She listens without judgment and she tries to offer multiple solutions and choices to help with the things I’m going through. I’m thankful for the help she’s already given me in such a short time and I look forward to continuing working with her in the future.
Jennifer is simply amazing. She listens and great responses that are helpful. I enjoy and look forward to speaking with her. After a session I always feel a bit better.
Jennifer gives great feedback and different ways to work through my concerns. She responds in a timely matter and even sends “just checking in”, messages to see how I am doing.
Jennifer is wonderful! We've only been talking for a couple of weeks but she's already saved my job when I had one foot out the door. We're now working on more personal matters. If I'm mulling things over in my head and don't write back to her in a day or so, she writes to me just to check in and give me another perspective to consider. Being able to go back over things she's said in the beginning is WONDERFUL because my memory isn't that great. I also enjoy the worksheets she gives me. They have great ideas that I can use now and in the future. Making the decision to contact Faithful Counseling is the best decision I could have made for my life.
Mrs. Jennifer is absolutely amazing! We connected as moms & she’s very understanding. Always sending encouraging quotes & motivates me to become a better person as a whole.
So far so good!
She is very attentive to me and has helped me feel better so much already.
She spoke directly and firmly at a time I really needed it. She told me what needed to be said when many would dance around it.
I appreciate the way Jennifer takes the time to focus on my exact needs and concerns and the way she provides guidance in a way I understand
I would definitely recommend Jennifer Ferguson for counseling. She's a wonderful counselor. I would also say she's like a mentor and she treats you like a friend as well. It's like you're sitting across from her with a coffee cup and she's all ears. So thankful I went with her, because I've already grown through her and her wisdom.
Jennifer has been very encouraging and helped me to understand the root of my depression and anxiety. I am so grateful for her Christian perspective and expertise. My interactions with her has led to a turning point in my life and I am forever changed. Thank you!!
Jennifer is responsive and super supportive. Interacting with her through a current family issue has been really helpful to me!
Jennifer has been so great. She respects what I need from a counselor and knows how to approach me. I love that I have built a secure relationship with her. I trust her to give me good, Christian advice.
Jennifer is my lifeline to normalcy at this crazy time in my life! Sometimes I may message 7-8 times a day. She is fine with me using her like this even though she may not respond to every single message. I never expect that! But just knowing she will read them all and see what I'm going through is a gift. I would highly recommend her and this service to everyone!
