About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and in Clinical Psychology. My clinical experience includes working with a variety of people including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have provided counseling services to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, and trauma.

I believe therapy provides a therapeutic relationship where you can explore issues and work towards personal growth and healing in order to reach goals. My goal is to walk alongside my clients in order to guide and support them in making healthy decisions and remove obstacles and challenges that they are faced with in their daily life. I believe that each individual is uniquely and wonderfully made. I encourage you to be open about your faith and beliefs as you feel comfortable.

My practice background of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), but I also believe that it is necessary, at times, to draw from other orientations and therapies in order to provide the best care possible for my clients. It is my goal with each individual to build a strong therapeutic relationship where the client can feel accepted for who they are, empathy, genuineness, and safety to explore their most challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using father-based counseling, can combine clinical therapeutic approaches as well as Christian faith-based counseling to help meet your goals in life.

It takes courage and strength to reach out for help from others and I will do my best to ensure that you receive the individualized care that you are seeking. I look forward to helping and working with you to reach your goals!

I worked with Jennifer weekly for seven months and honestly they were some of the hardest months of my life. Not due to Jennifer, however. Her sessions were the only thing that held me together. Jennifer is a wonderful and insightful counselor. She was able to give me wonderful advice, encourage me while still holding me accountable, and just be a listening ear when I needed to let it all out. Honestly, ending therapy has been one of the most difficult decisions because I am going to miss our weekly sessions. She is tactful, compassionate, and so supportive in a way that makes you know you can trust her and fully open up, even if she's going to tell you something you don't want to hear. Follow her advice, listen to her, and believe in her process and you'll be writing a review like this one day as you end your therapy as well. Thank you Jennifer for all you have done for me. Your part in my healing process will never be forgotten.

Jennifer has been wonderful so far. She hears what I am not saying through what I am saying. I have felt hopeful and encouraged since we have begun meeting each week.
