As a Christian and wife of a preacher, I know we will all face our unique challenges in life, but God is always there to help us through the challenges. One of my favorite passages is Isaiah 41:10 , "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. "
I am a PhD level counselor licensed in Tennessee with nine years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, trauma, and addiction related issues.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe we are all worthy of being treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, this is how Christ treated people, and I make it a practice to treat others this way. My approach is tailored to the individual, but I have found a lot of benefit in blending cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and mindfulness based counseling approaches. In addition, I often refer to answers about certain questions to be found in the scriptures of the Bible, not inserting my personal beliefs. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes a lot of courage just to make that first contact for help. I am here to be with you each step of the way as we face life’s challenges and look to God for answers.

I feel heard and comfier sharing my issues
