About Me

Hi there, I'm a Christian and a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. I was blessed to know the Lord at a very young age; but it was in my 20's and 30's that I strengthened that relationship to the place that it is today. Certain turning points that have strengthened my relationship with Christ have stemmed from experiencing personal pain, loss and grief, and personal tragedy. Though many hard moments like these can naturally raise questions in our faith and I feel confident in growing our relationship together with the Lord. Of course, these people were literally God sends. I wanted God to use me this way in a professional source so that I could be therewith others through their own difficulties.

I completed my Masters degree in Tampa, Florida and the program helped strengthened my theological knowledge, but also facilitated me the tools I needed to practice marriage and family therapy. I have been working with families and individuals in a mental health capacity for over 10 years now. It has been a joy and a privilege to help people heal from and work through issues such as trauma, chronic addiction, depression, grief, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, parenting issues, boundary setting and relationship issues.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating individuals with compassion, respect, and unconditional positive regard. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution focused therapy. I believe that the relationship between counselor and client is the foundation and you and I will collaborate on your specific needs and goals.

I know that life can get tough leaving us feeling stuck, confused or overwhelmed. Therapy is a wonderful, safe space to explore issues. If you decide to work with me, I am confident that together with God you can find the ways to heal your life.
