About me

Hi... I am John. I am a licensed independent mental health practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska. I have a Master's degree in Community Counseling and another one in Clinical Counseling. I have been a therapist since 2008. Since that time I have worked in private practices since I graduated. And also currently have my own practice in Omaha, NE.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in social services. I have lived in the Midwest since 1991, prior to that I lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I am married and have two kids, one is 24 and one is 10.

I like to meet client where they are and use the techniques/therapies that work best for them. I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I enjoy working with people and helping them overcome the challenges in their lives. I currently work with adolescents and adults for in the areas of individual, couples and family therapy. I work best with anxiety, depression, couples and men's issues. I also like to work with clients from a Faith based prospective. I also work well with ADHD, adjustment disorders, life transitions, behavioral disorders like ODD/Conduct Disorder, grief, divorce & infidelity, addictions, blended families, and anger management.
