Hello and welcome! I am Johnna Ortega, Licensed professional counselor with 18 years counseling experience. My experience includes working with adults, teens, families, couples and children. I am highly trained in trauma treatment and in the treatment of anxiety, depression, family and relationship difficulties. I also have specialized training in parenting skills. I love my work and find great pleasure in helping individuals and family's to find their unique path to wellness and happiness. My experience in both my personal and professional has taught me that a faith based approach to wellness is extremely helpful as Christ is the Great Healer. I use an eclectic approach to counseling because I do not feel that one approach is best for all Clients. I am highly trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Play Therapy and parenting skills. I graduated from Southern Nazarene University with the highest honors. I received a Master of Science degree in 2002 and have worked in varied settings including inpatient, outpatient, foster care and more. I currently have my own practice. I am a mother of four adult children and am blessed with grandchildren. I feel my maturity benefits my Clients.
It would be my pleasure to work with you. Thank you.
