Hi! My name is Josh Reed. I currently live and am licensed in the state of Tennessee, but I have spent the majority of my time as a Licensed Professional Counselor and life in Ohio (and currently hold dual licensure with TN and OH). I am a Christian and received my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. While I never force my faith on any clients, I enjoy working with clients through questions about their Christian faith. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Bible and greatly enjoy assisting client in seeking out answers through scripture. I have six years of experience working with clients of all ages dealing with questions about faith, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, anger, mood disorders, marriage and relationship concerns, grief, parenting concerns, end of life concerns, and stage of life concerns.
If you come to me with fears about mistakes or failures in your Christian life, I promise that I will take a Christ-centered approach in working with you to grow in your faith regardless of what mistakes you have made. Each and every one of us is beautiful in the eyes of God, and I want you to be able to see his love for you!
I work with several different types of counseling, but always prefer to start with a person-centered approach. This allows me to learn more about you while also building a relationship with you that will assist in making the therapeutic process more successful. Once we have established an effective therapeutic relationship, we can then decide whether you need a listening ear or a more specific type of counseling such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, or Resourcing. When I am working with Christian clients, every type of counseling I use will be founded in the truths of scripture.
I look forward to assisting you in working through your struggles and assisting you in building a stronger faith in God, regardless of what you may be facing!

So far, Josh has been great! From the first session, he hit the ground running, with me. I'm looking forward to our future sessions!
Josh is a very kind, patient, and knowledgeable counselor. He takes his time to listen to everything I feel that I need to say and gives great feedback. He does a great job of incorporating both biblical and clinical advice into our sessions. My time spent talking with Josh was definitely worth it.
Josh has been great. He has been essential in my progress.
