About Me

My Christian faith has gives me purpose, strength and has been a source of direction for me throughout my life. In fact, this is the reason I pursued a counseling degree, after working as an educational professional for over 20 years. My background in education provides me with experience in adolescent behaviors, depression, goal-setting and addressing family/parenting issues. I’ve honed my counseling skills to also be of help in grief work, life changes, motivation and goal-setting, as well as depression, anxiety and substance abuse/addiction.

My job as a Christian counselor is to help my clients connect with the power that God provides them to change their lives. This means that my clients work to understand that with God’s help, they come to know themselves better and find solutions for their problems. My job as their therapist is to help unravel the difficult circumstance or uncomfortable emotion that may be plaguing them.

My style of counseling is warm, inviting and most importantly patient with clients. I want to listen to them so we can move to a plan of action that will bring them clarity and resolution. I love working with clients and seeing hope come into their life after we work together. If you are ready to start a journey that will empower you, I am here to be your advocate!

Judy is great at not only listening but also helping me move through things. She never pushes but allows me to take the time I need and encourages and praises me for the things I have done big or small that we are working through together. She’s the first counselor I’ve had that I haven’t wanted to close down on and I think it’s entirely due to her caring attitude, and the way she takes time to really understand where you’re at in the BIG picture. I’m so thankful I found this counseling site and have recommended it to all my friends and family. Life gets busy but putting yourself and your emotional well being on the back burner shouldn’t be something you have to do. With this you can fit it to your schedule, and work on you when it’s right for you;)
