At times throughout our journey, we need safe people who share our values to process with so we can move forward. I understand how vulnerable it is to share deep struggles and how valuable it is to trust a counselor who comes from a foundation you believe to be true. As a counselor, my goal is to come beside clients as they seek freedom, transformation, and healing with the design God intended. I have seen the power of the Gospel through His Spirit work to bring restoration and recovery even in the darkest of situations and this is my hope for you as well. It is extremely important to me to really understand what clients want and always show the respect and sensitivity clients deserve.
I have an empathetic and solution-focused style that draws from a strength-based and family systems orientation. I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and then obtained my Masters of Arts in Community Counseling at Denver Seminary. Because I believe in the importance of having healthy and life-giving relationships, I also completed a Marriage and Family Certificate through Denver Family. I have over 10 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children across a variety of settings including a private practice, churches, ministries, and community agencies. In addition, I have taught counseling classes to aspiring professionals as an adjunct professor at Judson University in IL. I have had the honor of working with many individuals and families through issues including trauma, attachment, parenting problems, relationship and communication struggles, grief, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and emotional regulation.
I hope you find a counselor that will help you move forward with the changes you desire. It would be a privilege to work with you!
