Choosing to seek help is a huge decision. It takes humility, courage, and commitment to one's self. it. I consider it an honor and privilege to walk with people on their journey to health and wholeness. As a Christian, I seek to be be sensitive to God's leading in my life and in the lives of those who honor me with their stories. I believe we are all on a journey and involving Christ in the healing process can be powerful. That being said, I strive to provide a safe, caring, and respectful grace-filled space for you.
I have over twenty years of experience in the counseling field working a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, women's issues, and spiritual issues, long with others. My counseling style is integrative and draws upon different therapeutic approaches, including cognitive/behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-informed therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I also offer faith based interventions such as prayer and other spiritual disciplines when requested by the client.
