About Me

Hello! My name is Katelyn Hunter and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Indianapolis with my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. I specialize in working with young adults who struggle with anxiety, panic, and OCD, as well as those suffering from sexual trauma, and low self-esteem. I enjoy helping people overcome their fears, gain confidence, manage their emotions, learn to cope with uncertainty, and accomplish their goals.

I take an integrated approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I also incorporate mindfulness, art therapy techniques, and humor into therapy! I believe that ultimate healing comes through Jesus Christ. I know that mental health is often stigmatized within the church community. I understand the bravery it takes to reach out for help and explore your spirituality alongside your feelings. I help clients use their spirituality as a healthy way to cope with their current distress. This results in deepening your faith while healing your mind.

My clients describe my therapeutic approach as warm, interactive, and easy to talk to. I make it a point to aid in this process so that you can feel comfortable and open. We will work together to create goals that will help you achieve the results that you desire for your life. I look forward to working with you!
