About me

Hey! You've come to the right place, because counseling is for everyone.

We all need to check in with ourselves from time to time, and get feedback so that we aren’t just running on autopilot. Opportunity is all around us, but taking some time and slowing down is essential to seeing that opportunity.

To begin, simply work with what you have and try to focus your energy on your own development. This requires we make consistent steps each day, and engage in tracking, planning and organizing, as well as learning new ways of thinking. To find wellness we must stop focusing on other people and how they’ve harmed us, because we can't force other people to change... or to give us validation. We can only find true peace from within. Far too often, modern counseling relationships rely on porous boundaries and joining clients in their victim-mentality. That's not my style. I'm here to support and empower you to create your own solutions and your own life, and I’ll remind you that counseling is like piano lessons; you come out of the experience with what you put in.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I received a Master's degree in 2012 and was fortunate enough to work closely with many counseling educators who were at the top of their field. My experience in graduate school helped prepare me for working with diverse issues, and I’m confident in my cultural and clinical competency. After earning the hours, supervision, and experience necessary I gained clinical licensure, which means I can supervise students, other mental health professionals and clinics.

With this platform, we’re not limited to weekly sessions-- you can write everyday which gives you a place to express yourself, and I'll be here to listen and provide valuable feedback. We have tools that you can take into your daily life. I'd love to learn more about what you've been struggling with as well as your goals, and how you would like life to change for the better.

Be well! :)
