Kelisha LaGrone

About Me

I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in CA and TX with over 10 years of experience working in mental health. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, which includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, family and relationship conflicts, career and parenting challenges, life transitions, and ADHD.

My therapy style is authentic, warm, and inviting. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution focused therapies. Although this is my approach, I believe what I do best is "meeting my client right where he or she is." As an active listener, I see my clients and their stories through the lens of humility, respect, and compassion. As a Christian, I believe in the resurrection life and power of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives to bring healing, breakthrough, and transformation. While I do have a set of skills, I do not see myself as "the expert"; instead, I see myself as walking alongside my clients by sharing the wisdom of God's word and being sensitive to what the Holy Spirit desires to achieve in each of my clients. In sessions I love to combine what I have learned through my clinical work and what the word of God and the Holy Spirit has taught me in my own life- "we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony." Clients have often told me they leave sessions feeling empowered, inspired, and refreshed.

I am honored and humbled to take part of this leg in your journey of healing and transformation. I can't imagine what you've been through or what it took to bring you here--to this moment; however, what I do know, is that Jesus is our Living Hope. Hope outweighs horror. Hope gives beauty for ashes. If you are willing and ready, I am here to partner with you in your next steps toward "your best is yet to come!"

Favor and blessings to you!

Kelisha is great at understanding and identifying my greatest needs. I have been able to heal more by reflecting on our sessions together. Moreover, she makes herself available and checks in on me. I am so grateful I have her as my therapist and would definitely recommend her!

Work with me!
