About me
St. Augustine of Hippo said “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” Our restlessness in this world makes it difficult for us to manage the sadness, loneliness, anxiety, and despair that comes our way in this great journey of life. Discovering how to rest in the Lord can be greatly enhanced through prayer and therapy.
My therapeutic back ground includes a Master's degree in Social Work from Portland State University, practicing in the areas of adults, children & families, couples, and geriatrics for nearly 20 years. I focus on working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, & grief. I have substantial experience working with binge-eating disorder, hospice, substance use, sexual abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, and suicide. I have been a Christian most of my life, raised with regular bible studies and grounded in a life of prayer.
The approach I use in therapy is adapted for each client, while primarily focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy. I utilize prayer and the use of biblical texts to enhance our understanding of God’s presence in our lives and how He can help us understand and change our thoughts – to rest in Him. Developing an awareness of our thought patterns and exploring the validity of the thoughts allows us to transform ourselves and to ease our restless hearts.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kelli Adams. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
I have only just begun therapy with Kelli Adams, so it is difficult to rate the therapy.
I've been working with Kelli for about 6 months. I love her gentle and firm convictions in my continued ability to heal some trauma in my childhood. This gives me the confidence I need to move forward.
Kelli is great !
I'm really grateful for Kelli's counsel. She listened to my issues and tried different ways to address them. Our sessions helped me to see myself as being seen, mattering, being enough, and being in control in life. She was encouraging and helpful!
Kelli has been a great help so far. We’ve only had two sessions but I already can feel comfortable opening up
Kelli has been so helpful these last 3 weeks! She’s very sweet and helpful!!
