About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist had have worked in a variety of clinical settings. Most recently, I have worked with the military in their Family Advocacy Program providing services to families experiencing domestic violence or child abuse. Prior to working for the military I spent time working in school settings with at-risk children and their families. I am experienced with treatment of emotional problems that occur in adults and children. I have specialized training in working with those who have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma including domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trauma from combat experiences. I have completed training in Emotionally Focussed Therapy working with couples who are experiencing a variety of issues including, but not limited to domestic violence, infidelity, and blended family issues.

Throughout my life I have often utilized my spiritual/religious experiences to help bring answers. Prayer can bring peace and biblical lessons can bring comfort to individuals who are experiencing difficult times. It can be hard to remain steadfast in your beliefs when facing adversity or loss. I welcome the opportunity to help you rediscover your faith.

I welcome feedback from my clients regarding what is and isn’t working for them. I prefer a collaborative and supportive approach to therapy and my goal is to create a safe space for you to grow and heal.

I look forward to working with you.

Kelly is great at gently nudging me to confront things I'm avoiding. She empowers me to decide what I want to deal with - if I'm not ready I can say that - but when I tell her I want something to change she'll push me to work through it. I love that she's both kind and straightforward - she lets me choose when I'm ready to talk about things but also lets me know that if I keep avoiding working through something it's not going to change. I feel very safe with her and when she calls me out on things it feels supportive and helps me move forward.
