I am professional counselor licensed in the state of Virginia with over 7 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and family conflict, addictions, parenting issues, and anger management. I also helped many people who have experienced phase of life challenges and those struggling with motivation, self-esteem, and confidence.
My counseling style is warm, interactive, and client-centered. I am interested in getting to know you as a person and through our relationship helping you to maximize your potential. I strive to listen to and understand your needs without judgment. My goal is to create a safe space where you can be open and honest. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I draw from several theoretical approaches including Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, Post-Modern, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As we build our relationship and I get to know you, I match my approach to best fit your needs.
While I provide counseling to all those seeking services, I welcome those interested in incorporating their faith into the counseling process. As a woman of faith, I understand the importance of drawing on my relationship with Christ to work through life's challenges. I came to know the Lord at a young age, but did not truly start walking with the Lord until my college days. As a freshman in college, I joined a Christian organization where I was able to develop relationships with men and women who taught me what it really means to be a disciple of Christ. As my relationship with the Lord grew, my faith became more of a lifestyle than a religious belief.
As a counselor, I will not force my beliefs onto my clients; however, for clients who desire to incorporate their faith into the counseling process, I am comfortable doing so. Drawing on the Word of God, I work with clients to help them find meaning in their current situations and to overcome fear and doubt. The Bible tells us to take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Together we will do just that!

Dr. Branch is a considerate and warm individual. She shows a lot of care by reaching out and touching base with me. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable in her field. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs faith counseling and to anyone who would prefer the convenience of online counseling too.
Dr. Branch is amazing. I tell her my scenario and she finds a perspective that I have never thought of before to view my problem and the opportunities to fix it. This brings new light into my life and hope that it will be healed. Thank you Dr. Branch!
